WORK 040
Weave in, Weave out
duration : start 2025 | end 2025
type : apartment
gross floor area : 162 sqm
client profile : family with kids
scope : interior design
The apartment was originally laid out with bedrooms on both sides of the house. To keep the family closer together, all bedrooms were reconfigured onto one side, while the guest room and shared study now occupy the other side, creating a clear, invisible boundary between private and common spaces separated by the foyer, living and dining.
Upon entering the foyer, glimpses of the open, daylight-filled living spaces presents itself through the open display shelves. The various functions of the house were planned to revolve around the dry kitchen ; ala the heart of the house, where one can freely weave through and around seamlessly throughout the day's activities.
The same notion is applied to the bedrooms, where one spaces flows fluidly to another in a sensible order. A simple material palette of timber tones, terrazzo flooring, and mosaics is used consistently across the house, creating a sense of unity, with each space accented by a different colour for a subtle surprise.
